Important Note:
The ESU for Windows 10 (2025–2026) (2025-2027) (2025-2028) covers a fixed period from October 14, 2025 to October 13, 2026, (2027) (2028) regardless of when it is purchased or activated. This is due to Microsoft’s strict lifecycle policy and deadline structure for Windows updates, which defines ESU coverage windows in advance and does not offer prorated or rolling coverage.
Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU) – New Commerce
The Windows 10 ESU program provides critical security updates beyond the official end-of-support date of October 14, 2025, helping organizations and individuals maintain protection while transitioning to newer platforms. Available through Microsoft’s New Commerce Experience, ESU offers:
Coverage until October 2028 for commercial customers (three years max).
Annual subscription pricing: starting at $96 AUD per device, doubling each year.
Eligibility: Devices must run Windows 10 version 22H2 and meet update prerequisites.
Limitations: ESU includes only security updates—no new features, non-security fixes, or general support.
This add-on ensures continued security compliance for legacy systems while encouraging migration to Windows 11
